When the kids were little, they each wanted to make sure that they had special one on one time with whichever parent they favored at the time.
For Rosie, that hasn't changed.
But this weekend, Rosie went off to a youth group convention for the weekend, and it was a weekend that Abe was already scheduled to come home from boarding school.
So Abe is going to have some one on one time with mom, or is it that mom is going to have one on one time with Abe? This is, if I can keep him away from the video games!
Now the post-mortem:
We did a whole bunch of errands and we had some nice conversations. And he played a bunch of video games. But we also rented the original Iron Man (at his request) and watched it together and had a good time.
But when I got him back to school, I discovered that I hadn't asked all the right questions and there was more information (good) to be had. Because he's certainly not at the point of offering info- but then, what teenager is?
